If you live anywhere in South or Central Douglas and use Highway 5 as your route to work, you know this store well. The Circle K that sits at the corner of West Stewart Mill Road and Highway 5 has long endured, even under different names. Long-time Douglas County residents remember this store as one of the numerous 7-Eleven locations in Georgia that converted in the late 80s. Now this convenience store will once again be changing names and fuel suppliers. A few weeks ago this store placed temporary signs over the Circle K logo and replaced it with the Mobile logo. The fuel pump logos were also covered by temporary signs. Circle K will soon become another Douglas County Mobile location. No word on when construction will begin to permanently convert the convenience store from Circle K to Mobile. We’ll keep an eye on the progress and let you know when construction begins and when it’s complete.
