Carrollton Cheerleaders Make All-State Team

Carrollton High School seniors Anna Britton, left, and Sydney Wagner, right, were named to the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association All-State Team following last weekend’s competition between 40 top-scoring nominees in Columbus. They are now part of a 16-member statewide squad selected across all classifications; an impressive showing from one school. Applicants are judged on scholarship application, interview, and performance. Each now have a chance to earn the coveted Cheerleader of the Year Scholarship later this year.

Carrollton has a strong history of placing members on the team and two CHS alumni have won the top award – Bess Glanton (2011) and Allison Lambert (2002). Anna and Sydney are pictured with Trojan head cheerleading coach Elizabeth Sanders.
