The Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (GACCE) Board of Directors is now under the leadership of new chairman Daniel Jackson, President and CEO of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Tomorrow. GACCE announced new executive committee members and members of its board of directors during its 2016 Executive Leadership Conference held in late July.
In addition to serving on the GACCE executive board, Jackson is on the state board of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development. He serves on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board, the Georgia Chamber Board of Governors, and is an ex officio member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association Board.
Locally, he currently serves as Chairman of the Tanner Medical Center Board of Directors and serves on the Carroll County College and Career Academy Board of Directors, which he previously chaired for two years. Jackson also serves on the executive committee of the Carrollton/Carroll County Education Collaborative. He is on the Advisory Board for both the UWG Richards College of Business and the UWG College of Education. He also serves on the Carrollton High School technology advisory board.
Jackson has recently been selected to serve a three year term on the SACSCOC Board of Trustess representing the state of Georgia.
Prior to his position with the Carroll County Chamber, Jackson spent 26 years in the men’s retail clothing industry and three years with Carroll EMC. Over the last 35 years, Jackson has served in many leadership positions in church, civic, youth, education, business, healthcare, and the non-profit community throughout Carroll County.
Jackson is a 1975 graduate of the University of West Georgia with a BS in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of Leadership Georgia, the U.S. Chamber Institute, and holds the designation of Georgia Certified Chamber Executive. He has completed basic and advanced Development Authority Training, having served on the Development Authority of Carroll County for 14 years, and is a graduate of the Georgia Academy of Economic Development. Jackson and his wife, Carol, have two adult children and six grandchildren.
