A proclamation was presented to Dr. Kyle Marrero, President of the University of West Georgia, declaring September 17th as University of West Georgia Day. Please see acknowledgement below from Dr. Marrero.

This is indeed The Leading Year! Yesterday, Carrollton Mayor Walt Hollingsworth and city council members ratified the proclamation declaring Saturday, September 17th, University of West Georgia Day.

This honor is an example of our impactful contributions to the city of Carrollton. UWG Day is truly about you and the great work you do every day. It is because of your unwavering commitment to our students, and your endless contributions to making UWG a staple in the community, that we continue to be recognized locally, nationally, and regionally for our efforts.

I want to personally invite you to join me on Saturday, September 17th at University Stadium at 2 p.m. where the proclamation will be presented on the field during halftime as the Wolves take on Delta State. Let’s celebrate another great achievement. Go West! Go Wolves!

Kyle
