Arbor Place Announces Decision To Close Thanksgiving Day

Our spring look at Arbor Place Mall
Announced in October: The Mall remains closed Turkey Day.

In a reversal of trends of recent years, Arbor Place has announced that this year Thanksgiving will be for turkey, good food, and family only. The mall announced in early October that it will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day, as will all CBL-owned properties throughout the country. In the past several years we have seen retailers move Black Friday openings earlier and earlier, eventually eating into Thanksgiving time. Some retailers even decided to open all day on Thanksgiving last year. With sales from those openings lukewarm, some retailers are opting to return to Friday’s early opening sales. We welcome this news from Arbor Place and CBL in the hopes that Thanksgiving returns to wholesome feasts and family time.
