Carrollton’s Homeless Provided With A New Building

A new building is under final preparations for Carrollton’s homeless. A scheduled opening is for Thanksgiving. Sandy Newell with Hands of Hope Georgia is leading the project with help from many blessed people from our loving community. The building is located directly off 1600 S Highway 27 in the former Lighthouse Pointe Senior Living area (near O’Charley’s). Each of the 5 rooms will be available and have adequate sleeping areas along with 12 cots in the common room if needed. The future homeless shelter has a really nice kitchen just in case if hot meals are needed later on. Sandy Newell tells us that the shelter plans to be open 24/7.
