Brand Transition Begins for Local Hotel Property

One local hotel is beginning a brand transition as another completes construction. The Holiday Inn Express at 104 South Cottage Hill Road in Carrollton recently began an extensive renovation in preparation to become a Best Western Plus, with the “plus” indicating that the hotel will have a continental breakfast. According to general manager Steve Redolfi, all the rooms will be gutted down to the drywall and concrete. New internal and external paint, carpet, furniture, and beds will be installed. The anticipated completion of the renovation is currently scheduled for January 2, when the hotel will officially take on its new brand. The ownership for the hotel will remain the same.

This change comes as construction on the new Holiday Inn Express at 1545 South Park Street, just north of the South Park Plaza, enters its last stages. That project has an anticipated completion date of February 1.
