Carroll County, GA Sheriff’s Office EMA says no serious damage reported from “reported” tornado touchdown in bowdon junction and temple.

Summary of Today’s Severe Weather
Power Outages were first reported in the Bowdon, GA area of Highway 100 and Dot Rd (Being Restored). A Tornado Warning was later issued for the Northern Portion of Carroll County around Mt Zion and Temple. Tree Damage was reported from Carroll County EMA and 911 around Lee Williams Rd in the Bowdon Junction area along with Lovvorn Farm Rd and Miller Academy Rd directly on the other side of Highway 27. The stoplight at Hwy 27 and Bowdon Junction Rd was off for sometime. Should be back on. Another Tree was reported down on power lines at Highway 100 and Smithfield Rd. A few crashes were reported in Carrollton. Power is currently being restored around Thomas Wilson Rd and Highway 5, Clem Lowell Rd / Old Newnan Rd near Highway 16. NWS will be out looking into the slight damage reports around the Bowdon Junction area per Carroll County, GA Sheriff’s Office EMA, Once confirmed Newstalk 1330 WLBB will bring that information to you.
