As many have noticed in recent days, Huddle House, a longtime mainstay on South Park Street and the first twenty-four hour restaurant in town, quietly closed April 28 after being in business for forty-five years. According to the papers taped in the windows, the most recent leasees had decided to retire after five years. It is an end of an era, as that Huddle House holds special memories for many. We wish the recent leasees the best. Huddle House could come back as it did in 2012 after closing in late 2011; but so far nothing is official as to what the future holds for the Huddle House that was a mainstay in Carrollton, Georgia, from 1972 to April 28, 2017. If anything is announced, be sure to know we will keep you informed.
