On June 9, 2017, Connie Lloyd Hannah and Nancy Arthur Lloyd will celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of Simple Elegance Bridal and Formalwear. They have come a long way in ten years. They started with only 50 bridal gowns and a dream. Connie’s “dream” was to open a “Bridal Salon,” and so began a journey to find the perfect location and building. They found it in downtown Bowdon, Georgia–their hometown. Simple Elegance has steadily grown year after year, thanks to their wonderful customers. They now have four bridal lines and approximately 200 gowns in stock. Simple Elegance also carries three bridesmaids lines with 100-plus in stock, flower girl dresses, shoes, veils, jewelry, and tuxedo rentals. They are a full-service bridal boutique, which means they have everything you need for the perfect wedding.
They love their brides and so enjoy being a part of their experience in finding the “dress of their dreams.” Each bride has her own story, and what fun Connie and Nancy have hearing each one’s wedding plans. Best of all, they have a fashion show all day, every day.

Simple Elegance stays busy hosting fashion shows throughout the year at Bridal Expos locally and in the East Alabama region. They also participate in the National Bridal Sale Day in July each year. This year’s sale will take place July 15-22 and is by APPOINTMENT ONLY. This major event consists of unbelievable markdowns. Be sure to book your appointment soon!
Located at 107 Wedowee Street in Bowdon, Simple Elegance is in a building built in 1907, which is on the National Historic Registry. A part of their dream was to renovate the building, and that dream has come true. They now have doubled their fitting room space and added another platform.
