Central High School’s Amelia Farmer was named the Most Positive Girls Swimming & Diving Athlete in the State of Georgia by the Positive Athlete Georgia organization. Positive Athlete Georgia is a movement featuring high character current and former professional athletes, led by former University of Georgia star and Super Bowl XL Most Valuable Player Hines Ward. The movement focuses on established and credible role models for young athletes. Positive Athlete honors student athletes who are marking a positive contribution to their communities, overcoming difficult circumstances with a positive attitude,and believe a positive attitude is essential to their success. Amelia Farmer is a Central High School junior at the top of her class. Mr. David Bush is the Central High School Swim Team Coach.
