Local residents and shoppers will soon have a new destination to satisfy a sweet tooth in Newnan. Cookie Barr is slated to open a new cookie bakery at 8 East Washington Street.
Owner Sarah Barr said she is excited to finally open a brick and mortar location for her business.
“I started out selling cookies at the Farmer’s Market in Newnan and Peachtree City, and it’s grown enough that we are now opening a location where people can come visit us,” said Barr.
Barr said the new bakery will have special-baked items including cookies, cupcakes, and other treats, as well as coffee.
The new business has not set an opening date and is currently awaiting approval from the City on building permits.
