LaGrange, Ga. July 11, 2018 – LaGrange Animal Services continues its partnership with the Puppy Pipeline as 50 more animals will be picked up tonight.
The Puppy Pipeline has picked up a total of 500 animals in 2018. The Puppy Pipeline of Georgia Rescue is a 501©3 non-profit organization that transports puppies, kittens, dogs and cats to the Northeast and Upper Midwest to no kill shelters that will find them loving forever homes.
In the South, there is a low demand, high supply for animals and in the Northeast and upper Midwest there is a high demand, low supply.
The City of LaGrange Animal Services is proud to be a partner of the Puppy Pipeline since its inception in 2007.
“The need for animals up north is in high demand due to the northern states having such a strict spay neuter law. Once the animals reach their destination they are spayed or neutered and placed up for adoption,” said City of LaGrange Animal Services Supervisor Chris Bussey .
“We will be sending out over 50 animals on Puppy pipeline again tonight. This makes the 500th animal we’ve saved this year by using the Puppy Pipeline. We are very happy to save these lives.”
The animals sent on the Puppy Pipeline spend less than a week on the adoption floor before they find their forever home.
