The wait is over for Moe’s fans in Oxford. It was recently announced that the Moe’s Southwest Grill location at 50 Commons Way in the Oxford Commons Shopping Center is set to open TODAY.

According to a news release, Moe’s will celebrate the grand opening by giving away free burritos for a year to the first 100 fans, a prize that enables each winner to enjoy one burrito per week for a year at this Moe’s location. Opening day will also feature Moe’s SWAG giveaways and a prize wheel for guests to spin and win various prizes. The new restaurant will be open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Moe’s opening is welcome news for both Oxford residents and the shopping center. According to a report back in April, construction on the second phase of the shopping center resumed nearly two years after it came to an unexpected halt. Although Oxford Commons was originally scheduled to open in the fall of 2016, the complex now looks to be completed by the end of this year.

Based in Atlanta, Moe’s (which stands for Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers) is a fast-casual restaurant with bold southwest flavor that was founded in 2000. With an extensive range of menu items—from burritos to specialty items like quesadillas, nachos, and stacks—their high- quality and fresh southwestern food will please the entire family.

Recognized as the Brand of the Year in the Fast Casual Mexican Restaurant category for two years in a row (based on the 2016 and 2017 Harris Poll EquiTrend® Studies), Moe’s operates more than 700 locations in the U.S. and abroad.
