Checkers on Bullsboro Suddenly Closes

Jonathan Dockery

Checkers located at 214 Bullsboro Drive in Newnan officially closed last week.

“This restaurant closed because it had been underperforming for some time. There is another Checkers located in Fayetteville,” said Kim Francis, Checkers spokesperson.

The closure of Checkers on Bullsboro follows the closure of its location inside Newnan Walmart Supercenter in July of 2018.

The Bullsboro location had been closed once previously, before reopening in September of 2016. However, there are no indications now that the fast-food chain will reopen either of the former Newnan locations.

Checkers is one of the largest drive-thru restaurant chains in the United States. The Tampa, Florida-based company has locations in 28 states throughout the country.
