Newnan Wingyard Restaurant Closes

Many of our followers have noticed the restaurant next to Texaco at 114 Temple Avenue, Newnan, Georgia, has closed. Wingyard which had held that location for a few years suddenly closed last week.

A manager at Texaco said, “The spot is currently for rent.” We called the number on Wingyard’s door which directs those interested to speak with Chef Shun, who operated the restaurant. We attempted to speak with him to gain more insight regarding the closure or future plans, but we have not received any information at this time.

Prior to opening his Newnan Wingyard Chef Shun had operated a restaurant similar to it inside a Texaco along Maple Street in nearby Carrollton. His community outreach shone brightly throughout Newnan, which was evident through the recognitions and photos on the walls inside his restaurant.
