Owner and operator of Emmie and J Boutique, Erin Hart has seen extraordinary growth with her business in the last few years. With locations across Georgia in the cities of Dallas, Cumming, and now Newnan, her boutique has suburban Atlanta in its sight.

Erin happily explains, “Expanding to Newnan was an easy decision! The little city is beautiful, and the square is incredibly perfect for families, photos, entertainment, food, you name it! We love that while the city is growing and succeeding, the atmosphere is still homey and welcoming. We are so excited to share our brand with Newnan!”

Emmie & J’s newest location at 398A Newnan Crossing Bypass in Ashley Park is directly next to Ann Taylor Loft. Erin is hosting a grand opening celebration on August 3 with free grab bags for the first 30 shoppers starting at 10:00 a.m. The free grab bags will have Emmie & J t-shirts, jewelry, makeup, and a special gift card from the local shop, Newnan Mercantile.

The Ashley Park location will be managed by one of Erin’s devoted team members, Halie Barnes who tells us, “This is a new beginning for me. I’ve always wanted to be a store manager of a boutique because I just love clothing. We love to meet people in our communities, so we have friendly faces to shop with us.”

When we asked Erin about the inspiration for Emmie & J, she cheerfully explained, “It actually came from my long retail career and my love of fashion. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a love for all things feminine. After having my second child, I didn’t want to return to the hustle and bustle of corporate retail, so I decided to stay home with my children. After a couple of months of that I was missing a little piece of what made me, me! So I decided to start researching and taking steps to create my own business. I wanted something I had control of and could really make mine. Only a few weeks later came Emmie and J which is named after my first two babies, Emery and Jase.”

All of Emmie & J’s stores cater to everyone, such as three styles, three ages, three opinions. Erin says, “I usually shop with my mom and sister, so this method works well for me. I want the same set of women to be able to come in and find three styles they love and feel comfortable in.”

The styles at Emmie and J bring out confidence in those who try the clothes on. “Many of the vendors are diamonds in the rough; our search for new amazing brands never ends,” Erin explains. Many items in the store are priced from $20 to $50 and are considered current trends and mom-friendly. Customers can also search online through a large selection of products at www.emmieandj.com

Erin and Halie are super excited to meet those in the Newnan community. Erin says, “This community has already been so amazingly welcoming! From the very first time we visited Ashley Park to the meal we ate that night on the square. It’s such a community, and we are so proud to now claim it as our own. I can’t wait to see what other amazing things are in store for this city. Our clothes say, ‘I am confident, I am fierce, and I am beautiful.’”

Emmie and J is also hiring at their Ashley Park location. Email the store or stop by for an application at 398A Newnan Crossing Bypass, Newnan, Georgia.
