Big Bear Asian Buffet, located at 401 Maple Street, Suite D, Carrollton, Georgia, will officially open Tuesday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. The buffet will serve a variety of Chinese and Japanese cuisines, along with a host of vegetables, a salad bar, and of course sushi. Topping off the wide-selection of buffet dishes, the restaurant has a hibachi grill for cooked-to-order entrees and sides.
Fujian, China, native and chef, Daxiong Chen says the restaurant’s name is inspired by his Chinese name which means big bear in English. He told us that he enjoys cooking and eating food so much that he can try food at other restaurants and make a similar dish based solely on what he had tasted.
After Daxiong met his wife, Ling Lin, in New York, he returned to Georgia where he found the best opportunity to open a restaurant. “I believed it was the right time and the right place to open the buffet,” said Daxiong.
Ling Lin tells us, “We look forward to meeting everyone and allowing customers to experience our restaurant. We hope everyone loves our food, and we welcome feedback.”
The lunch buffet is priced at $7.99 and dinner buffet is $10.99. Sunday All Day Buffet is $10.99. Soft-drinks and tea will be sold separately for $1.99. The restaurant will open seven days a week; Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
