While an official completion date has not yet been set for the new Sprayberry Road Park, it is still on schedule to open early October. City of Newnan program manager Ronda Helton says, “This will be a great asset and will definitely enhance the ‘quality of life’ for our residences in this area which currently is not in walking distance to a passive park of this size.” The City of Newnan hopes to also connect the LINC to this new area since an extra-wide sidewalk was added within the project.
A new pet park is also being constructed for pet lovers inside Sprayberry Park. The pet park will offer a large fenced area for larger dogs and a smaller fenced area for the small dogs. Ronda tells us, “Pavilions and watering stations are in both areas; also included are public restrooms, parking and a very cool playground.”
Sprayberry Road Park sits on an 8.33-acre parcel of land that is divided by a roundabout. The new park is located off Sprayberry Road at the corner of Casey Road.
