The long-standing wish for Carroll County Commissioner Chairman Michelle Morgan along with numerous commuters was to resurface the turning lane from Highway 61 north onto Interstate 20 eastbound. As of this week, commuters will no longer deal with the numerous potholes and roughened surface that had existed.
Commissioner Chairman Morgan states, “Join me in saying a great big thank you to the Georgia Department of Transportation and Grant Waldrop for granting my long-standing wish for better, safer roads for my constituents. I’m so excited that this turn lane that leads onto I-20 eastbound in Villa Rica is freshly paved, making for a smoother drive and commute for you.”
