Helping others is what Tammy and Kim of reStored Resale Boutique know they are called to do. Both met at a local yard sale, and soon after that their dream of reStored Resale Boutique became a reality. Now the ladies manage and operate reStored Resale Boutique in Newnan.
Tammy says, “It’s amazing how stuff that people threw away brought both Kim and me together.” On June 6, 2014, the planning started taking place for the new resale boutique, and it opened for business five years later on the same exact date. Kim adds, “Life change is happening here. We started our non-profit several years ago as Walk of Faith, which operates the shop.”
All sorts of things–from a 1962 jukebox to toys, furniture, and clothes–fill the boutique. Kim mentions, “When people come through the door, there is peace. It’s hard to put words to that. We love the picture of seeing people get rid of something that others need.”
Tammy and Kim, along with numerous volunteers, invite the entire community to shop, donate, and volunteer. reStore Resale Boutique is located at 7 Belt Road in Newnan, Georgia, and is open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:02 a.m to 5:01 p.m. They accept donations on Wednesday between 10:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m., as well as on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during regular business hours. Those interested in volunteering can take part in orientation every Thursday at 9:35 a.m. and every second Saturday of the month at 9:35 a.m.
The shop doesn’t just sell an assortment of things but also hosts several small groups throughout the week. 12-week Freedom Small Groups are being offered at this location by Walk of Faith. Kim explains, “Those who might not walk into a traditional church service can find a very welcoming environment in Freedom Small Groups.” For more information on Freedom Small Groups, reStored Resale Boutique, and Walk of Faith please click here.
