Alisha Windom Allstate, located just north of Carrollton’s downtown, emphasises personalized service. Owner Alisha Windom is more than an insurance agent; she’s a true friend to all her clients. “My principle is simple: It’s all about the people. When I see one of my clients at the store, we stop and chat. I like to know what’s happening in the lives of the people I serve,” Alisha happily explains.

Her passion for people started when, from ages twelve to sixteen, she worked for Bartlett’s Convenience Store, which was located along Highway 27 in Carrollton.Thereafter one of her regular milk and bread customers asked if she would like to work for him at his insurance agency. She agreed and held a job as a data entry agent for Pinnacle Insurance Company.

In that position she would send policies to clients but had zero personal interaction. Alisha notes, “I missed the people. None of what I did mattered without the people.” Finally an Allstate recruiter came knocking at her door and asked if she would like to open an office, and she cheerfully took the next step. At twenty-four years of age she opened an Allstate Insurance Agency in Carrollton, an agency which has proudly held the Highest Customer Satisfaction Score in the Southeast for five consecutive years.

She reveals the community’s praise for her excellent customer service, “For twenty-two years my goal has been to meet with clients personally, explain coverages, look for discounts and be accessible on nights and weekends. If your house catches fire, you don’t want to talk to an 800-number or have to wait until business hours. This is why my cell number is listed on my business cards and I promote my clients’ calling me day or night.”

Apart from her busy office schedule, Alisha is very active in a host of civic and social groups. She happily shares, “I am currently serving as a proud member of the Carrollton Debutante Board  and Allstate Southeast Regional Advisory Board. I have previously served on Carrollton High School Governance Committee, Allstate’s National Advisory Board, and many others.

Alisha wants those who are looking for any type of insurance, whether it’s auto, homeowner’s, financial, life, cancer, or accident, to know that her staff, which consists of Michelle Collins, Tisha Devault, Melanie Noah, Jessica Kyttle, and Shirley Edwards (Aka Alisha’s mom), will happily help customers comprehend their policy.

She cheerfully highlights, “In order to build a team that loves and is devoted to helping you build your business, they must first love and respect the leader. I have the best team in the Southeast. They are not only my employees, but my friends. We all have the same goal. That is to do what is right, have fun, and make an honest living.” From billboards and magazines to now The City Menus, Alisha Windom Allstate Insurance is always a name in front of the potential and current customers. She laughs, “Insurance is like a country song–when you quit singing, they forget about you.”

A graduate of Central High School, Alisha and her high school sweetheart David, have three daughters, Danielle, Alivia, and Alaina. She says, “Carrollton was where we wanted to live, raise our children, and help our community become a little better than we found it.”

Alisha concludes, “Our reputation as an agency that cares for its customers precedes us. These are some of the secrets behind the trust that I now enjoy from many families in the community. I would be delighted to meet with you and share in your story, too.”
