The space for Villa Rica’s former, longstanding Romero’s Italian Restaurant that closed in 2017 will soon welcome Pizza Hut. Nyree Simpson, licensing and permit specialist for the city of Villa Rica, tells us, “The Villa Rica Crossing shopping center at 664 Bankhead Highway will soon be home to Pizza Hut. A construction permit was issued on October 7. The space is being converted to add a drive-thru and carryout area, along with limited indoor seating.”
It is not known at this time what the current building for Pizza Hut will turn into. Our readers might recall that the Pizza Hut in Carrollton recently converted an end-cap space at the South Park Street Plaza for the same concept as Villa Rica’s upcoming, new location. Additionally, the space next door is available for lease.
