Below is a list of tidbits for current happenings around Newnan.

The Columbus-based retailer The Blushing Brunette Boutique is currently stocking the shelves in their new Ashley Park location at suite 332. Their store will open Saturday, November 2. Next door Motherhood Maternity is closing, and a store-wide sale is happening now.

Studio 34 Furniture and Design opened November 1 in the former Rite-Aid building at the corner of Highway 34 and Highway 154. Recently we met with their team and saw a sneak peek of the store’s wonderfully repurposed interior.

The former United Community Bank at the corner of Sullivan Road and Highway 34 next to the Shell gas station will soon become a UnitedBank. According to direct-mail flyers, this bank is set to open in November. UnitedBank has other branches across Coweta and Spaulding Counties.

Heirloom Market Company opened on Friday, October 29, and The City Menus was there to partake in this exciting day for this incredible boutique marketplace. Don’t forget to check out the bake shop inside. It is located at 8861 GA-54 in Sharpsburg, across from NCG Cinema movie theater.

In restaurant news, Jim and Nick’s is scheduled to break ground soon at Fischer Crossing near NCG. Also at Fischer Crossing is the ongoing construction of Popeyes.

Joella’s Hot Chicken near the Newnan IHop is undergoing an interior build out, no word on an opening date as of yet. Construction of Arden’s Garden is wrapping up and an opening date is expected to be released soon.
