For 2019 our top stories for Newnan include a lot of new eateries, a beauty salon, retail, and more.

Rock Salt Milk Bar opened at 8 East Washington Street in May when dreams took flight with the perfect combination of ingredients. The homemade ice cream shop’s owner, Cynthia Hendricks found herself ‘retired but not done’ after a successful career as an air traffic controller in the FAA. Click here to read more. 

Arden’s Garden opened in November at 98 Temple Avenue. The store sells fresh cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and plant-based foods. Click here to read the opening announcing we shared. 

Joella’s Hot Chicken recently opened December 11 and offered six days of grand opening specials to customers. The restaurant is located at 580 Bullsboro Drive. Click here to read more. 

Salad Express, located at 311 Bullsboro Drive, opened in November. Already, the owner has given back to the community in various ways, including offering a free meal to veterans. Click here to read the opening story.

Mail & Office, owned by entrepreneurial wife Karla Ramos-White and Newnan policeman Clifton White, opened in February at 1065 Sullivan Road, Suite, B, Newnan, Georgia. Click here to read more.
