One of Carroll County’s truest identities recently experienced a transformation that shows off beauty from the past. The front doors of the Historic Courthouse of Carroll County were black, but during the original construction in 1928, the doors were bronze.
Carroll County Board of Comissioners Chairwoman, Michelle Morgan found a company to bring the front doors of the historic courthouse back to their original glory. She says, “Architectural Surface Restoration LLC painstakingly hand finished the original, almost 100-year old bronze doors. It took four days to do it.”
As one glances at the newly beautified doors, they will notice the Seal of the State of Georgia along with the Charles Carroll imprint. He is the founder of Carroll County. “The historic courthouse to me is another icon of Carroll County, it’s our identity,” said Michelle.
