Weather permitting, the eastbound offramp for exit 24 on I-20 will be closed while crews conduct work in the area as part of the I-20 resurfacing project. Additionally, the right eastbound lane will be closed from milepost 17 through milepost 24.
The I-20 eastbound exit 19 onramp will also be closed during this time. Motorists will be directed to take Highway 78 to get to the I-20 eastbound exit 24 onramp.
WHEN:Â Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.
WHERE:Â The right eastbound lane of I-20 will close from milepost 17 through 24. Eastbound traffic will be routed to the eastbound contraflow lane. At exit 19, the right lane, right shoulder, and the exit ramp will be open. Eastbound motorists who need to get to exit 24 will be routed to exit 26 and then directed to turn back west onto I-20 and then take the westbound exit 24. Motorists trying to get to the interstate from the exit 19 onramp will need to take Highway 78 to the next onramp at exit 24.
