During the summer of 2018, the city of Hogansville reached an agreement with PNC Bank on the sale of its closed branch at 111 High Street. The city acquired the location for its new city hall. Now the city of Hogansville is seeking bids for the remodeling of that building. For more information about the bidding process, click here.
Previously in 2018, Mayor Stankiewicz had said, “This is a great building in our historic downtown district and will serve the community well as the future home to city hall.”
The former PNC Bank, originally built in 1975, boasts 6,672 square-feet and sits adjacent to the Post Office.
Since 1984 the historic Royal Theatre has served home as Hogansville City Hall. Once the new City Hall construction is finished, another project will be the future for the Royal Theatre.
Interim city manager Lisa Kelly tells us, “A creative space is ultimately what we hope for at the Royal Theatre. The whole downtown master plan is based upon reopening the theatre.” To view the master theatre plan click here.
Carter Watkins Associates Architects, Inc in Monroe, Georgia, are handling the plans for both the PNC Bank conversion and the Royal Theatre.
