In the Spring of 2018 Overstock Surplus opened at 265 Temple Avenue in Newnan. The store offered retail items at discounted prices. It was announced this week that Overstock Surplus has closed. In an email owner J.K. Sibley writes, “I am appreciative of the community’s support. I’ve met many good people and developed great, lasting relationships.” The owner also mentioned that he is moving in another direction.
Crews were seen on Tuesday clearing out the store’s merchandise and hauling it away. It is not known at this time what the 3,000 square-foot space will be next. Overstock Surplus was located in the Food Cost Plus shopping center on the west side of Newnan.
