At Hope for the Journey, our vision is to create a community that supports and uplifts those fighting breast cancer, because no one should fight alone. Join us on October 10th, 2020, for our 12th Annual Luncheon in Pink. Please note the event is being held virtually this year. This is an annual fundraiser for Hope for the Journey, a 501C3 non-profit organization that wishes to give hope to those suffering from breast cancer by providing financial assistance, counseling with spiritual support, and insightful knowledge through support groups and educational programming. Hope for the Journey strives to empower women that have and continue to fight against breast cancer.
Guest Speaker Aileen Stansel, RN, will share her personal struggle with breast cancer and the benefits of plant-based nutrition. Aileen is a Christian, wife, and registered nurse of 26 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, doctor’s offices, community wellness, health coaching, oncology, and cardiology which has given her a passion for prevention. Aileen has held certifications as a Health Coach through Wellcoaches, American Council of Exercise Personal Trainer, and she currently holds a certification in plant-based nutrition through the Center for Nutritional Studies and e-Cornell. Her own breast cancer diagnosis lead to her interest in plant-based nutrition and her desire to share its benefits with others.
