Frozen custard lovers can rejoice as a new restaurant offering the tasty treat has officially added the “first ingredient” to setting up shop in Newnan. Ground has been broken on Freddy’s Frozen Custards and Steakburgers at Newnan Crossing and Summerlin Boulevard. The new location will be south of the Promenade at Newnan Crossing and the LINC. We first broke the news that Freddy’s was working through the permitting phase back in July 2020 (read that story here).

Luckily, those anxiously anticipating the opening of this new restaurant won’t have to wait long. According to Kim Huynh, public relations specialist for Freddy’s, “Our Freddy’s location in Newnan is currently slated to open late March. We’ll be happy to keep you updated on progress and let you know when we have a confirmed opening date.” Stay tuned to the City Menus as we will closely monitor this and announce an official opening date once we learn about it.

Freddy’s was founded in 2002 in Wichita, Kansas, and has over 400 locations across the United States. The menu focuses on steakburgers, frozen custards, specialty sundaes, and concretes which are blended sundaes. In June of this year, a Freddy’s opened nearby at 1215 Highway 85 North in Fayetteville, Georgia.
