Redesigned Kids’ Castle Coming to Carl Miller Park

Effective January 25, Kids’ Castle in Carl Miller Park is closed for renovations. The other attractions at the park remain open, including the playgrounds, picnic tables, walking trails, and such. The new and improved Kids’ Castle is set to reopen in early Spring. Follow Newnan Utilities on Facebook and other social media to keep updated.

The Kids Castle was built in 1987 through a community build project sponsored by the Community Foundation. It was constructed out of wood in just one week with the help of the community. Playgrounds by Leathers Company helped design the original project, and Newnan Utilities is working with them again to design the new version, which will have innovative features and softer materials. The new structure will still be a castle, but this one will be made completely of recycled materials and will be ADA compliant, with features for children with special needs. Questions may be addressed to Joni Scarbrough at [email protected].
