The Taste of India: Star of India Opens New Location in Newnan

The owners of Star of India in Peachtree City are proud to announce they have opened a second location of their fine Indian restaurant! Their established, successful restaurant had become so popular that Owner Lovepreet Dhindsa and his father decided to expand their reach and open a second location at 1065 Sullivan Rd in Newnan.

“We realized there were so many people who enjoyed our food but were missing out because of the long drive,” said Lovepreet. “With our new location it is going to be easy for people to access us from the highway as well as around Newnan itself.”

Fine Indian cuisine has become a fan favorite for the citizens of Peachtree City, and favorites such as chicken curry, chicken korma and a variety of exotic kebabs will soon be melting in the mouths of Newnan residents.

With Covid, many businesses have suffered, but when the lockdown happened, many people were either cooking at home or ordering takeout. Star of India actually increased business during the uncertain time.

“We definitely weren’t expecting to be so busy, but our guests are so great in how they’ve been so supportive throughout the whole COVID pandemic,” said Lovepreet. “I didn’t even think it would be possible for us to be feeling so much love and support. That’s part of why we are opening this new location. We love the community, and they are great to be a part of.” The new location in Newnan is open now and accepting orders.
