9/15/2022 Update: Currently ON HOLD per corporate, we have no other details at this time.

2021 Article Below:

Construction plans recently surfaced for a burger restaurant to be built at the northwest corner of Newnan Crossing Bypass and Poplar Road. The area is known as Oak Hill and will soon be home to a new Zaxby’s, too.. What was originally thought to be a Cook-Out or Whataburger joining in the fast-food fun will now be Texas-based Hat Creek Burger Company.

Apparently this will be Hat Creek Burger Company’s one of several upcoming Georgia locations. Whataburger is also a Texas-based restaurant which recently opened a location across from Tiger Town in Opelika, Alabama. More Whataburger restaurants are being planned for Georgia. Hat Creek Burger is currently undergoing the review process with Coweta County, so there isn’t a timeline on an opening just yet. Several job openings are available for Hat Creek Burger Company all across Georgia including, Jasper, Clayton, Lawrenceville, Columbus, etc as it looks to be a speedy expansion for the company.
