New Restaurant Inks Deal for Former Plates On The Square Space

A new restaurant is taking over the former Plates on the Square & Uncorked location in Carrollton. Chip’s Burger Bar released the news on their Instagram this afternoon. It reads in full,

“Thank you to everyone who has already been so supportive of the announcement of Chip’s Burger Bar!
We are so grateful for the Carrollton community and we are very excited to be a part of Downtown Carrollton!

We are also extremely grateful to be taking over a restaurant space of Plates and Uncorked. They were a backbone to the Carrollton community for so long and helped transition Adamson Square into what we know it as today!

Keep an eye out for info on our application process and details for @chipscarrollton 🥳🤍”

The City Menus will share additional information in an article sometime in mid February.

Below is an update in full from the owners of Plates on the Square & Uncorked in Carrollton that was posted at the beginning of January:

“The owners of Plates on the Square & Uncorked would like to thank the many thousands of customers we have gotten to serve over the last 14 years. It has been our great honor to serve our very supportive community, and we hope we did our part to enrich Adamson Square and the lives of our patrons and employees.

Plates has officially closed its doors. This is simply the right time for the partners to move on to what’s next in their lives. We are greatly humbled and honored to have served this community for such a long time.

We are happy to announce that another local business owner will be opening a new restaurant in the same location in the coming months. Keep an eye out for the new concept coming to the Square! Customers and former employees who need to speak with us can email us at [email protected].

If you had a future reservation or party scheduled with us, we will be reaching out to you in the next few days.

We apologize for the inconvenience for those who still have gift cards to Plates & Uncorked. For any gift card purchased on Sept. 1, 2021, or later, we are happy to issue a full refund. Please contact us at [email protected]. For gift cards purchased Jan. 1 – Sept. 30, 2021, we are happy to announce that your gift card will be accepted at the new restaurant opening in the Plates location up until June 30, 2022.”
