Central High School Creative Writing Contest Winners

Central High School students participating in the Carrollton Civic Women’s Club 2022 Creative Writing Contest came home winners. 

Charlee Causey earned 3rd place for her poem called The Rake In Between. Kai McMichael earned 1st place for her short story titled, Every Eleven Minutes, and Alaina Carey earned 1st place for her poem, Ode to the Grand Piano.

More than 160 student entries from across the area submitted works for the competition. 

The winning students are taught by Central High School English teachers Ms. Amanda Thornton and Ms. Abigail Smith.

Linda has been a Carroll County Schools educator since 1995 and currently serves as Central High School’s Media Specialist. In addition, she is a certified fitness instructor with One Life Atlanta Fitness and teaches part-time with the University of West Georgia.
