Doba Cafe Brings Chef-Prepared Donuts, Drinks, Food, and Family Atmosphere to Newnan

UPDATED 3/16 with new opening date: “Due to supply issues, we are moving our grand opening date to MONDAY, MARCH 21st. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope to see y’all soon”

Get ready for a brand new kind of donut and coffee shop at 55 Jefferson Street in Newnan! They are next to the Dairy Queen in the former Mrs. Winners building and will give you a smile with their bright pink façade. On March 21, Doba Cafe will offer amazing handmade donuts and pastries, served with full selections of the most popular teas, coffees, smoothies, and soft drinks. In addition, Chef Mara Men and his wife Bolen will offer high quality items for a snack, lunch, or dinner, as well.

The new DOBA cafe (DO- for donuts and BA for bubbly Boba tea) is a family-friendly café to serve entire families. In fact, Mara’s brother and Bolen’s sister and their spouses also moved to Newnan to help with the business. To make the shop family friendly, Mara installed counters around the perimeter, with stools and many outlets, so customers can enjoy a tasty snack while they navigate their computers for work or pleasure. There will be card games, Jenga, Tic-Tac Toe, etcetera. available for kids and adults alike. The interior is tastefully designed to be bright and open and very inviting.

As you know, there are many locally owned donut and coffee shops in Newnan, so why go to Doba Cafe? A few reasons: quality, variety and atmosphere. Mara is a certified chef, a graduate of the Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute, making quality items from scratch. The variety extends past delicious donuts, pastries, sandwiches, special coffee and tea drinks. Space prevents listing every item and option for food and drinks because the list is too extensive. The atmosphere is casual, friendly, and fun.

Everyone is invited to their new grand opening date on March 21 to try out the menu and to sign up for the Grand Opening Giveaway: 1) a 65” Television, 2) A year’s supply of coffee, 3) A year’s supply of Boba tea.
