Local community and pet parents gather at lifestyle center for a day full of dog-centric competitions and activities
The Avenue Peachtree City, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center is hosting its first ever dog-centric event – Paws Fest 2022. Sponsored by Ivy Pet Resort, the event will be held on Friday, May 6 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Avenue Peachtree City aims for Paws Fest to be the ultimate entertainment experience for all guests, especially local dog lovers. DockDogs®, the independent governing and sanctioning body for dock jumping and dock diving canine performance sports will be onsite hosting high-flying canine competitions throughout the weekend.
The Dock Dogs competitions will consist of a variety of contests for spectators to enjoy including the Big Air Wave competitions, Extreme Vertical competition and Speed Retrieve competition. For visitors attending Paws Fest on May 6, these contests are set to be held at the following times:
- Big Air Wave #1 – 5:00 p.m.
- Extreme Vertical – 6:30 p.m.
For visitors attending Paws Fest on May 7, these contests are set to be held at the following times:
- Big Air Wave #2 – 11:00 a.m.
- Big Air Wave #3 – 12:30 p.m.
- Speed Retrieve (All-in-one Finals) – 2:00 p.m.
- Big Air Finals – 4:00 p.m.
- (Pro, Semi-Pro, Contender & Amateur Finals)
Alongside the Dock Dogs competitions, Paws Fest will include various other activities which guests can participate in alongside their furry friends such as pet photo booths, live entertainment, giveaways and multiple local canine businesses will be on-site hosting friendly vendor booths.
