2022 Valedictorians and Salutatorians Honored

Carroll County Schools today announced valedictorians and salutatorians from all five high schools and honored them with a breakfast. Reagan Thompson, 2021 Bowdon High School valedictorian and student at Georgia Institute of Technology, provided a keynote address.

“These are the best and brightest graduates of Carroll County Schools, and we honor their academic success because it reflects their individual pursuit of excellence,” Superintendent Scott Cowart said. “We strive to be a premier school system that creates opportunities for students to reach their full potential, and we are proud of these students for working hard and achieving this milestone.”

Valedictorians

  • Jenna Leann Daniel is this year’s valedictorian from Bowdon High School. Daniel will be attending Georgia Tech and plans to major in architecture and minor in art history
  • Abigail Leann Cole is this year’s valedictorian from Central High School. Cole will be attending Georgia Tech and plans to study mechanical engineering.
  • Dylan Scott Roulaine is this year’s valedictorian from Mount Zion High School. Roulaine will be attending the University of Alabama to study business administration.
  • Emily Ann Higdon is this year’s valedictorian from Temple High School. Higdon will be attending Georgia Tech and plans to study biochemistry. 
  • Isabella Cecilia Pitts is this year’s valedictorian from Villa Rica High School. Pitts will be attending the University of West Georgia and plans to major in biology. 

Salutatorians

  • Audrey Jane Duffie is this year’s salutatorian from Bowdon High School. Duffie will be attending West Georgia Technical College to study business.
  • William Pierce Butler is this year’s salutatorian from Central High School. Butler will be attending the University of Georgia to study computer science. 
  • Abigail Elizabeth Davenport is this year’s salutatorian from Mount Zion High School. Davenport will be attending the University of Georgia and will major in psychology.
  • Samuel Santiago Zimbron is this year’s salutatorian from Temple High School. Zimbron will be attending Georgia Tech and plans to major in biochemistry. 
  • Toby Marlo Tomlinson is one of this year’s salutatorians from Villa Rica High School. Tomlinson will be attending Georgia State University and plans to major in psychology. 
  • Ian Bryce Wilkinson is one of this year’s salutatorians from Villa Rica High School. Wilkinson will be attending Georgia Tech to study aerospace engineering. 

Villa Rica High School has two students who tied for the salutatorian title.

“It is our honor to recognize these students for their hard work and dedication,” Assistant Superintendent of School Performance Dr. Jessica Ainsworth said. “We are very proud to have been part of their educational journey and are excited to see their continued success.”
