Walmart has a long history of supporting their local communities. To deepen their commitment to the Atlanta community, Walmart is hosting a Health and Wellness recognition event where they will thank essential frontline workers within the metroplex.
Today, Walmart traveled to the local Walmart Supercenter to thank pharmacists and frontline healthcare workers who serve as heroes to their community every day. Walmart teamed up with former Atlanta Hawks player and NBA Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins to surprise Health and Wellness associates at Walmart Store #594 to celebrate local health and wellness associates at the Walmart Pharmacy, Vision Center, Health Center and Health Trailer, all on Walmart’s property.
The demonstration of gratitude from Walmart is part of its commitment to use its strength to uplift those in Atlanta who keep the community safe and honor their resilience in light of challenges caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic. Walmart chose to highlight the amazing accomplishments of this community during Pharmacy Appreciation Month.
The event also takes place in conjunction with the product launch of first-of-its-kind, over-the counter access to hearing aids which took place earlier in the week.
