New Ownership for Bremen Childcare Academy

After over 20 years the Bremen Childcare Academy was born anew, revamped, and updated. Located in Haralson County, they are open as a full service daycare and preschool. Keisha Archer, Atlanta native and owner, with two other daycare centers and two years in the field under her belt, bought the business because she not only “wanted to be able to offer childcare,” but she “wanted to offer the community a positive place to see diversity and growth.”

“There was a little bit of hesitation because we weren’t very familiar with Bremen, but it just seemed like it would be a great opportunity.” Archer said. Yet the revamp was not an easy one, and many parts of the center needed to be updated. Archer and her team had a vision and “were up for the challenge.” Along with changes to the building came a complete change of staff.

Archer elaborated, “We didn’t come in for business. We came in to be a part of the community. We wanted to embrace the opportunity to make Bremen a great place for all children to be able to learn and to be successful in whatever their future endeavors are.”

Enrollment is open now for children ages six months through their school years. Before and after school care prices start around $100 to $140, but the academy accepts CAPS, other grants, and is willing to “work with parents… because we understand that there is a need,” she says.

The academy’s radius extends to Tallapoosa, Villa Rica, west Georgia, and more. Pick ups by the center will only extend to a 10 to 15 mile radius, but Archer says, “We’re open to any child that needs child care and can get here.”

Bremen Childcare Academy will host an open house very soon. Archer invites all interested families to call and set up a walkthrough visit so they can see the changes and get to know the staff. She concludes, “We’re here because we understand that our children really are the future. “We are here to help develop that future.”
