In an effort to support the schools in our region and provide students with excellent certified teachers as well as teacher hopefuls, West Georgia RESA will host a free job fair on March 10, 2023 from 9:00-1:00. This opportunity will allow currently certified teachers or qualified individuals seeking certification to interview with school and school system leaders from all eight of the West Georgia RESA area school systems. These include Carroll County, Carrollton City, Coweta County, Harris County, Heard County, Meriwether County, Odyssey Charter, and Troup County.
West Georgia RESA Executive Director Dr. Shanna Downs shares that “when our system leaders attend this recruitment event, they are not just coming to meet and greet, they have open positions that they need to fill.” If you have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher but don’t have a teaching certificate, attend our informational meeting for GaTAPP, an alternative teaching program that will allow you to work full time while fulfilling the requirements to become fully certified.
