Marcy Heath: Not Your Status Quo Broker

Founder and CEO Marcy Heath of Inoventive Benefits Consulting recognized “the need for viable healthcare options as opposed to the traditional ‘cookie cutter’ plans” and in 2017 brought Inoventive Benefits Consulting into the health insurance sector via Insurance Solutions of the South. “[It’s] a group employee benefits consulting firm” that aims to “challenge the status quo of healthcare,” says Marcy.

The focus of the business is to “offer solutions in the healthcare space that help manage and mitigate costs.”

Their hard work shows through the many awards that they have earned over the years; but the most recent, the Global Insurance and Risk Management Award in 2022 for Best Healthcare Strategy Consultancy Firm in the Southeast United States, recognizes their dedication to their work. This award is no surprise because Marcy describes herself as “passionately committed to helping others, fiercely competitive, and relentlessly goal oriented.”

“If you’ve been around Marcy any length of time you certainly understand and appreciate her passion for her clients, her passion for her business. And nobody’s more deserving of this award than she is,” says Dawn Cook, Chief Marketing Officer and Insurance Broker.

Inoventive Benefits Consulting creates a portfolio of employee benefit plans with “non-traditional” healthcare options that include lower out-of-pocket fees. These plans benefit the employees and allow “more affordable, sustainable health care spending for the employer,” positively affecting the bottom line for employer and employee alike.

As an example Marcy cites a recent project in which Inoventive Benefits Consulting successfully implemented a prescription drug solution and was able to get cancer medication to a client at zero cost while also keeping costs off the employer.

Clients also have access to a third-party app that allows them to see providers and procedures that are covered under their plan and the costs associated with that procedure.

Marcy identifies her business as “client-centric,” explaining that her clients are “like family.” She continues, “I listen to my clients and ask questions. I want to know what employers see as future needs in their areas and how we can play a pivotal role in helping them.”

“If you stay in business long enough,” she adds, “you will experience a disappointed client or two. When such a situation occurs, I always try to listen and evaluate the issue and then implement a solution to bring the issue to a successful resolution.”

To reach their level of success, Inoventive Benefits Consulting recognizes that there is nothing as constant as change itself and is guided by the company’s core values “to be authentic — to be compassionate, client-focused, and results driven.” But Marcy also acknowledges that “having a staff that is compassionate, patient, and has a positive attitude with strong communication skills [has been] invaluable.”

Inoventive Benefits Consulting can take care of business “virtually, digitally, in-person, and online,” says Marcy. Check out their website, or call at 678-821-3508. Their offices are located on the first floor of the Regions Bank building, 1 Community Square Boulevard, Villa Rica, Georgia 30180.
