West Georgia Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its board of directors. Angie Roberts, Michael Robertson, and Terrence Youmans were sworn in at the August board meeting and officially begin service this month.
The West Georgia Technical College Board of Directors is composed of members nominated for their positions by area industry and educational officials and then selected and approved by the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia. The board’s purpose is to advise on program direction, serve as a check and balance for the development and implementation of college goals, objectives, policies and procedures, and advocate within the community issues on of importance to the technical college system and Georgia’s workforce development efforts.

I look forward to the fresh perspectives and dynamic leadership they will bring to our team.”
Angie Roberts has been employed with Wayne Davis Concrete since 1998 and currently serves as a sales manager. Roberts is highly skilled in strategic planning, project management, and data analysis and has over 25 years of experience in customer relations, retention, operations, and strategy. She diligently serves her community by serving on the Carrollton High School CTAE Advisory Board and the Polk County Education and Workforce Committee. Roberts will represent Heard County on the Board of Directors.
Michael Robertson, CEO of Piedmont Newnan Hospital, has worked in healthcare for over 27 years, including 18 as an executive. Under his leadership, Piedmont Newnan has achieved superior patient, employee, and physician satisfaction rates and clinical outcomes. Robertson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Care from the Medical College of Georgia, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Shorter University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives and serves as chairman of the board of directors at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He also serves on the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce board and is very involved in the local community. Robertson will represent Coweta County on the Board of Directors.
Terrence Youmans currently serves as the Chief People Officer at RaLin Construction where he is responsible for people and culture. Youmans is a dynamic leader with 20 years of experience in Fortune 500 and mid-sized companies. Throughout his career, Youmans has demonstrated success in company performance, revenue generation strategies, communication, and extensive experience in designing and improving organizational culture to lead to change and transformation. Youmans has a BS Degree in Math from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He will represent Carroll County on the Board of Directors.
