The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce celebrated its most attended Woman of the Year Luncheon on November 21st with 200 attendees joining together to honor exceptional women in the Carroll County business community. Presented by Ed Miniat and featuring Audrey King, Senior Vice President of Region External Affairs for Georgia Power, as the keynote speaker, the event highlighted the extraordinary accomplishments of women making a difference in the region.

The prestigious awards, reviewed by the Women’s Business Alliance committee, recognize individuals nominated by their peers for their outstanding contributions. Each award focuses on specific criteria, celebrating the honorees’ significant impact on the Carroll County business community.

This year’s awardees were:

  • Woman of the Year: Dr. Julie Post, President of West Georgia Technical College, recognized “for her unwavering commitment to excellence, service, and impact.”
  • Legacy Award: Paula Waters, Georgia West Realty, honored “for her dedication to the betterment of Carroll County.”
  • Rising Star Award: Courtney Stogner, Apollo Occupational Health, celebrated “for her passion, resilience, and commitment to making a positive difference.”

Adding to the event’s vibrant atmosphere was the creative tablescape competition, allowing sponsors to decorate their tables with imaginative designs. Guests voted on their favorites, creating a fun, competitive spirit and a visually stunning venue.

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce extends its gratitude to Ed Miniat, Audrey King, and the Women’s Business Alliance along with 21 business sponsors for their support in making the 2024 Woman of the Year Luncheon an extraordinary celebration of leadership, innovation, and community impact.
