Mary Lois Griffis named Central High School STAR Student

Mary Lois Griffis has been named Central High School’s 2024-2025 STAR Student.

The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program honors Georgia’s highest achieving high school seniors and the teachers who have been most instrumental in their academic development. To obtain the STAR nomination, high school seniors must have the highest score on any single test date of the two-part SAT taken through the November test date of their senior year and be in the top 10% of their class, based on grade point average.

Earlier this year, Mary Lois was named to the Georgia CCA 4A-6A All-State Cheer Team and earned a $1,000 scholarship as a Carson Scholar.

Mary Lois named Ms. Elizabeth Rance, her elementary school teacher, as her STAR Teacher. She is the daughter of Melissa and Jared Griffis.
