Renovations Underway at Willow Bend Center in Peachtree City

Drivers passing through on Highway 54 in Peachtree City may have noticed construction of the blue roofed buildings off of Willow Bend Road. Lamar Management, a small family-owned company that manages the property, has confirmed that renovations are ongoing at the Willow Bend Shopping Center. To be rebranded as The Willow District, renovations began in February and will continue through the end of summer.

Work crews are starting with the three-cluster building, where they are replacing the siding, updating store fronts, landscaping, and handling general maintenance. Annie Spencer, Partner at Lamar Management, says, “We really want to bring something really special to the community with these upgrades.” Current tenants have expressed enthusiasm and, “are very excited for the renovations. It’s all been a lot of positive feedback from everyone that we’ve talked with.”

Annie adds, “The project has already attracted significant interest from businesses eager to join The Willow District.”

Lamar Management has an almost 30-year history with this property. Annie’s grandfather  Emmett Lamar Seals, purchased the property in 1996 and remained involved in its management until his passing away in 2022. “Up until his last year of life he was coming into the office and working every day,” says Annie. “He always saw the vision and its potential with its great location.”

The family is from Newnan, and inspired by its downtown area, they aim to bring a similar sense of community to Peachtree City by way of The Willow District. “The goal is to curate a tenant mix that complements existing establishments while introducing fresh options that add value to Peachtree City,” says Annie. With its central location and golf cart accessibility, it aims to be a convenient and welcoming shopping center, “we’re trying to keep a local feel, which was also very important to my grandfather.”

Lamar Management is extremely grateful for the continued support of Peachtree citizens and local businesses, allowing this legacy property to thrive for the next generation. “There are so many special people and businesses in Peachtree City, and that’s really what we’re trying to highlight through our renovations,” says Annie.

Looking forward, the management company plans to consider renovation opportunities for the gas station next door, “we do own the old Pitts gas station and we’re going to be looking at doing something there,” Annie mentions.

Regardless of the ongoing renovations, businesses at Willow Bend will remain open. Residents can visit the shopping center at 300 Willow Bend Road, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269.
