Crews have begun milling and repaving several key streets leading to and through Adamson Square, including sections of Alabama, Newnan, Bradley, and Rome streets. The work is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements to enhance road conditions and traffic flow in the downtown area.
Road Work Details
The following sections are currently undergoing milling (conducted mostly at night) and resurfacing (completed during daylight hours):
- Alabama Street to US-27
- Rome Street to Johnson Avenue
- Newnan Street to Dixie Street
- Bradley Street from Brown Dog to East Center Street
Weather permitting, the project is expected to wrap up within two weeks. Drivers should anticipate intermittent lane and street closures and are encouraged to plan alternate routes when possible.
Amp Park Now Pet-Free Ahead of Renovations
Due to excessive pet waste, Amp Park will no longer allow pets. Later this month, the park will undergo renovations, including the installation of artificial turf, fencing, and new games. The city reminds residents that the park is intended for play—not pet waste of any kind.
New Dog Park: “Bark on Bradley” Coming Soon
For pet owners, a new Downtown Dog Park is on the way! Located at the back of the City Hall parking lot, Bark on Bradley will provide a dedicated space for dogs to play and relieve themselves. As always, pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
