The Walmart Supercenter at 803 New Franklin Road in LaGrange is set to undergo a significant renovation aimed at modernizing the store and improving the customer experience. Plans released to The City Menus show that more than 30,000 square feet of the existing store will be remodeled, along with an additional 2,300 square feet added to the building.
The updates will touch nearly every part of the store. Interior improvements include refreshed grocery areas, upgraded customer service spaces, and a redesigned checkout area with relocated registers and added grab-and-go refrigerated cases. The pharmacy will gain a new health services room and updated displays, while departments like the vision center, money center, and auto care center will receive cosmetic upgrades such as cleaning and repainting .
Customer amenities are also getting attention. Restrooms will be refurbished with new sinks and fixtures, and the break room for employees will be remodeled. The store entrance will be refreshed with new flooring and finishes, and exterior updates include new signage and fresh paint to match Walmart’s latest branding .
One of the more notable additions is an upgraded online pickup area, which will include new space to support Walmart’s Pickup 2.0 system. This reflects the company’s continued focus on online ordering and curbside service .
Overall, the renovation should start this Summer and is designed to modernize the LaGrange location while improving convenience for both in-store shoppers and online customers.
