Took a Sunday afternoon drive around several subdivisions in Carrollton this past weekend. Couldn’t help but notice one section of Mill Pond actually building or completing several houses. Very surprised! Most of the homes in this particular area of Mill Pond have sold or are under contract. Construction of new homes is slowly coming back to life in Carrollton, although homes are being built at a faster rate in Douglasville and Newnan. Several folks with a realty company in town told us that the market in Carrollton is starting to pick up due to low inventory. On Facebook many Carrollton Menu fans complained about not being able to locate any houses for sale. Good news there is light up ahead. We visited a section around Old Newnan Rd and Hwy 16, called Stonegate and noticed some lots for sale. The area around Oak Mountain and south Carrollton looks to be flourishing with new home growth. The Stonecrest Subdivision off Bladenburg Road will also start construction soon on more homes, from what we are told.
